A Bulgarian football club, Arda Kardzhali, apologised after mistakenly holding a minute's silence for Petko Ganchev, a former player who is still alive. The incident happened before their match against Levski Sofia, where both teams lined up to honour Ganchev, believing he had passed away. However, during the game, Arda discovered that the information about his death was wrong.
The club quickly posted an apology on their Facebook page, saying, "The management of PFC Arda would like to express a huge apology to the former Arda player Petko Ganchev and his relatives." They also wished him "many more years of good health." By Monday evening, the club had removed the post from their page.
| A: | Can you believe we held a minute's silence for someone who's alive? |
| B: | I know, it's unbelievable! How did that even happen? |
| A: | Someone told us he passed away, but it was all a mistake. |
| B: | Well, at least we apologized quickly. |
| A: | True, and I hope Petko isn't too upset with us. |
| B: | Yeah, let's just hope he has a good laugh about it. |
