Hello! My name is Nick and I'm from England.
My hometown is called Crowborough. It's in the south-east of England between London and Brighton.
I came to Japan in 1997 for a 3-month homestay. I had a great time... and I'm still here!
I live with my family in Kakamigahara City, in Gifu prefecture. I have a small English school called "Nick's English".
Back in 1998, I lived in Nagoya and worked at ECC. I taught a lot of children and adults at schools in Aichi and Mie. It was really good fun. I met so many different people!
I was so young! Here's another one...
After three years at ECC, I worked for TCLC (東京外国語センター) in Nagoya. I visited companies to teach Business English. I went to Mitsubishi, Denso, NGK, Toyota and even Nippon Steel Corporation (新日本製鐵) in Tokyo.
In 2003, I moved to Kani city in Gifu prefecture. I was the Teacher Manager for a chain school called "Let's English". I trained teachers, made curriculum and organized events.
While I worked at Let's, I started teaching at Japanese kindergartens. It's a job I really enjoyed. I did it for about 18 years!

I have a lot of hobbies. Right now I like doing yoga, learning to play the guitar, studying Japanese, computer programming and playing video games.
I also enjoy hiking. I used to be crazy about fitness! I did marathons, ultra-marathons and triathlons! My longest run was 100km around Mt. Ontake. My longest bike ride was 240km to Shirakawago and back. Crazy, right?!?
These days I like to take it easy because my back and knees hurt! Hahaaaaa....
If you're interested, here are my qualifications. From left to right:
I hope you can come to my school. I would love to meet you! We can speak English together. Get in touch today!
