Yuka is a high school student in Japan. She wants to help people, so she decides to volunteer at a local hospital. Every Saturday, Yuka wakes up early and takes the train to the hospital. She wears comfortable clothes and brings a book to read during her breaks.
When she arrives, she says hello to the nurses and patients. She helps the nurses by bringing them supplies and talking to the patients. Yuka also reads books to the patients who can't leave their beds. Yuka enjoys volunteering because she likes making people happy. She wants to be a nurse when she grows up, so volunteering at the hospital is good practice for her.
After her shift, Yuka takes the train home and feels happy knowing she made someone's day better.
| Nurse: | Hello Yuka, what are you reading today? |
| Yuka: | A book about animals. It's really interesting. |
| Nurse: | That sounds like fun. Do you like animals? |
| Yuka: | Yes, I love animals. I want to be a nurse for animals too! |
| Nurse: | That's a great goal. Keep up the good work, Yuka! |
| Yuka: | Thank you! I'll do my best. |
