Rika, a high school student in Japan, wants to earn some money. She looks for job openings on the internet, and finds a part-time job at a café near her house. She applies and gets the job. On her first day, she wakes up early, puts on her uniform and goes to work. The manager shows her how to make coffee, tea, and take orders.

Rika is nervous, but she tries hard. She takes orders and serves customers all day. She makes some mistakes, but the manager helps her. By the end of the day, she feels proud of herself for doing a good job.

Rika continues to work at the café on weekends. She enjoys meeting new people and earning money. She also learns some new English words and phrases from the customers. Rika feels happy that she got her first part-time job.
