Article

Fourteen students from Rokugo Koka High School in Tokyo were taken to the hospital after eating very spicy potato chips. The incident happened on Tuesday around 12:40 p.m.

Thirteen girls and one boy, all first-year students, complained of nausea, as well as stomach and mouth pain. They ate chips called "18+ curry chips," which one student brought to school.

The chips are made by Isoyama Corp., a company from Ibaraki Prefecture. They said, "We sincerely wish for the swift recovery of those who have reported feeling unwell."

The company warns on its website that people under 18 should not eat these chips because they are too spicy. They ask spice lovers to be careful when eating them.
