Mari was a junior high school girl. It was lunchtime. She opened her lunchbox. Oh no! Her chopsticks were missing.
Mari looked everywhere. Her friends helped her look. They searched under tables and in bags. No chopsticks. Her teacher helped too. They looked in the classroom and the hall. Still no chopsticks. They called the police. The police looked all over the school. No luck. Mari even went on TV. She asked everyone, "Have you seen my chopsticks?"
Finally, her mum called. "Mari, I forgot to put your chopsticks in your lunchbox. I'm sorry!" Mari laughed. It was funny now. She ate her lunch with a spoon. All was good.
| Mari: | Oh no, my chopsticks are missing! |
| Friend: | Don't worry, Mari. We'll help you look for them. |
| Mari: | Thanks! Let's look under the tables and in the bags. |
| Teacher: | I'll help too. Let's look in the classroom and the hall. |
| Mum: | Mari, I forgot to put your chopsticks in your lunchbox. I'm sorry! |
| Mari: | That's okay, mum. I ate my lunch with a spoon. It was funny! |
