An American man named Truett Hanes broke the world record for the most pull-ups in 24 hours. He did 10,001 pull-ups.
Truett first tried to break the record two years ago. He did 8,100 pull-ups. But then an Australian man, Gary Lloyd, did 8,600 and took the record.
Now Truett has the record again. He said, "What I learned is that I won't give up." He explained that he isn't super strong, but he always works hard and keeps going. He told Guinness World Records, "Even if it takes years, I will keep going until I finish." Truett's story shows that hard work and not giving up are very important.
| A: | Wow, Truett, 10,001 pull-ups! How do you feel? |
| B: | Tired, but happy! I finally did it. |
| A: | What kept you going all this time? |
| B: | I just didn't want to give up. Hard work pays off! |
| A: | So, what's next? More pull-ups? |
| B: | Maybe! But first, a long nap. |
