The UK is set to experience another bout of cold weather this week, with heavy rain and snow forecasted for many areas. A snow warning is still in place for north and central England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
According to the Met Office, an area of low pressure moving eastward across the UK will bring a drop in temperature. Although the weather is set to turn milder by Wednesday, the UK is still facing a rollercoaster in the next few days, according to Met Office forecaster Greg Dewhurst.
On Tuesday, the UK will experience scattered wintry showers, and widespread frost by night. Looking ahead, on Friday, most of the UK will experience cloudy weather, with the best of any brighter spells in central parts of the UK.
A: | Can you believe it's going to snow again? It's almost spring! |
B: | Tell me about it! I thought we were done with the cold weather. |
A: | Yeah, and now we have to dig out our winter coats and boots again. |
B: | I know, right? I was expecting to put on my shorts and flip flops! |
A: | Maybe we should just hibernate until it's over. |
B: | Sounds like a plan, but we'll need some hot chocolate to survive the cold. |
